ocel100X13M (EI515) is used for the production of surgical cutting instruments. It contains a sufficient amount of chromium to ensure high corrosion resistance, chromium also increases hardness and strength, slightly reduces ductility. When alloyed with molybdenum, the ocelis less brittle and helps to stabilize the structure during hardening.
